The Minnesota Humanities Center seeks a part-time administrative
assistant (12 to 15 hours per week) to: schedule meetings and business-related
travel; represent administration via telephone, mail, and email
correspondence; and serve as a liaison between administration and
external audiences.
The successful
candidate will have related administrative experience, and excellent
organization and communication skills (verbal and written). A Bachelor's
degree and experience with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Access,
Excel) are required.

Communications
and Marketing Specialist
The Minnesota Humanities Center seeks a full-time communications
and marketing specialist to support the organization in furthering
its mission. The communications and marketing specialist will promote
the Humanities Center's programs, resources, and meeting and event
center through a variety of tactics including, but not limited to,
producing print and electronic pieces; updating web site text and
graphics; writing and distributing press releases; managing distribution
lists and contact information; and coordinating projects with external
vendors.
The successful
candidate will have one to three years of relevant work experience
and excellent organization and communication skills (verbal and
written). Preference will be given to candidates with experience
in branding and Web 2.0. A Bachelor's degree and experience with
Microsoft Office programs (Word, Access, Excel), and web and design
software are required.
